Concept
Views and Voices was a collaboration between 3 designers. The textbook contains stories written in English, by non-native speakers, giving the reader a brief and intimate glimpse into the lives of those living in places like Japan, Ghana and India. The repeating motif of stamps represents how reading these stories is like receiving a postcard sent from far off countries. One particular design challenge was differentiating two sets of vocabulary words within the text. Bold and superscript numbers were used because they were the least intrusive.
